Today Pratibha Patil (President of India) made a record by flying in Sukhoi Aircraft. Sukhoi is a supersonic fighter jet which can travel thousands of kilometers per hour.
She made two records by travelling in a fighter aircraft. First one is that she became the first women president of a country to fly in a supersonic fighter jet.
Second on is the record of oldest women to travel in a military plane.
President Pratibha Patil used a G suit during her journey and flew around thirty minutes in Sukhoi. This great event occured on 25 Nov 2009 at Pune, Maharashtra, India.
