Festivals of Kerala brings some special attraction for our God’s own Country. Almost all fests in Kerala are colourful and traditional.
Now we can consider the following fests :-
Eid :- Eid is celebrated by the Muslims of Kerala and all over the world. People attends special prayer during this day. Biryani, Pattiri, Chicken / Mutton Curry etc are special dishes which makes Eid celebration more tasty.
Onam :- Onam is one of the important festival of Keralites. Onam is celebrated in the remembrance of old King – Mahabali or Maveli. Kids and grown up puts on new clothes and prepares OnaSadhya (meal) on that day.
Vishu :- Vishu is a festival of joy and happiness marked by the presence of yellow flower Kanikonna.
Christmas :- As usual Christmas is observed on 25 December of every year. Cakes, sweets, stars and new dress make christmas more delicious.
Trissur Pooram, Kerala Piravi and Easter are some other festivals which are observed by the people of Kerala state.
