Keralaites has already started Onam 2010 celebrations. Most schools and Colleges are preparing to conduct onam celebrations.
When Malayalies think about this fest, the first thing which comes in our mind is Athapookalam. Its the floral design which can be considered as the icon of Onam.
This year too, there will be Athapoo competition in various schools and colleges and in some arts clubs.
Another part of this years celebration is Ona sadhya. Its a special meal comprising of rice, aviyal, pachadi, kichadi, pappadom etc and payasams.
